a year for daily home support, against a long-term care bed

The what-if in this film is not hypothetical. The Views at St. Joseph's General Hospital in Comox is organised into micro-communities of ten to twelve residents, each with its own kitchen, dining area and outdoor access.
Routines follow the resident rather than the shift. People eat when they are hungry and sleep when they are tired. Many residents arrive on multiple psychotropic medications and have them reduced or discontinued after settling in.
It is not a pilot and it is not a proposal. It exists, in British Columbia, today.
